Our Story

How it all started...

Freeport Bible Church, a member of the Bahamas Evangelical Church Association, was founded in April 1976 by Rev Ed ward Godet. The first church service was held at a home with a congregation comprising of eight persons. Over the following ten years, they met in three additional locations before the first edifice was built on West Atlantic Drive.

Expanding the vision...

In 1987 Pastor Wilbur Outten was installed as Senior Pastor where he served until his death in January, 2017.  Pastor Outten's passion for the church and vision for FBC ushered in exponential  growth and positioned FBC to better live out its vision to:
Love God
Love People
Serve The World

Where we are headed...
